Kaleidoscope Community Outreach for Sobriety Through Art (KCOSTA)

Recovery through creativity. Stability through opportunity.

Empowering individuals in recovery to rebuild stability and independence through creative expression, community support, and opportunities for economic self-sustainability.

About K-COSTA

Kaleidoscope Community Outreach for Sobriety Through Art (K-COSTA) was founded from a personal journey through recovery—and a deep sense of purpose that came from what I witnessed along the way.

During treatment, I saw something powerful: people in recovery with incredible artistic talent using creativity to express themselves, process emotions, and begin to heal.

But after leaving treatment, I began to notice something just as important.

While I was fortunate to return to stability—with a home, resources, and support systems-I also had the ability to turn to art as a way to stay grounded and support my sobriety. Many others did not.

After doing the hard work to become sober, the path forward was often even more difficult.

Many were leaving recovery and facing overwhelming challenges: no stable housing, no transportation, limited resources, and constant barriers to rebuilding their lives.

It made me realize how much those supports mattered—and how deeply grateful I was to have them.

I wanted others to experience the same stability, opportunity, and sense of hope that helped me stay sober and move forward.

That realization became the foundation for K-COSTA.

We believe creativity is more than expression—it’s a pathway to healing, confidence, and self-sufficiency.

Through art, music, and performance, K-COSTA provides a supportive community where individuals in recovery can develop their talents, rebuild confidence, and begin creating the new life in sobriety-with a renewed sense of hope and a brighter future.
